About Me.
Kyle Fox Douglas is a New York City based Theater, Film, and Television actor. As the son of two Jamaican immigrants, his home life instilled in him not only a disciplined work ethic, but a love for creating and telling stories. Kyle studied theatre at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, where he earned his BFA in Acting.
As an artist, he is interested in telling stories that reflect contemporary issues. Stories that provoke thought, challenges, and agitate us. As a player, he hopes to explore and create dynamic characters from those stories, that reflect the (sometimes complex, awkward, painful, funny, indifferent, radical, and always surprising) human experience.
conversation is crucial.
collaboration is key.
story is king.
When he’s not tending to his artistic pursuits, he can be found rock climbing outside or at bouldering gym in the city.
He doesn’t have social media because it doesn’t make him feel good and he’s perplexed by the idea of “marketing” himself. So please explore the site, hopefully you’ll find what your looking for (on his terms).
Currently, Kyle is wrapping up post-production on his directorial debut short film GRIPPED, in which he also wrote, produced and starred in. The film follows Julian Young, a headstrong, elite rock climber that is obsessed with perfection. During an Olympic Qualifying competition, he is embroiled in a brutal controversy. A passion first fueled by love and grit, spirals into something dark. A year later, he unpacks the moment in a long-awaited, career-defining, podcast interview. More on this coming soon…
